The Toyota Avalon Continues To Deliver Great Performance and Reliability

While Toyota’s catchy slogan is engraved in most of our minds and their cute little spokes girl – Jan has endeared us to their brand, did you realize that Toyota is more than 75 years strong? They were getting into the auto industry with Henry Ford back in the early days of the automobile!!

Toyota prides their self on being innovative and appealing to a diverse customer line! They have the economic size cars, the eco – friendly cars, the family SUVs and even the large comfort sedans!

The Avalon definitely fits in the latter category! It will “get you places” in style and comfort! The beautiful lines of this car have turned many heads with people left asking: “what kind of a car was THAT?!”

Avalon features a 3.5 L V6 engine that generates 268 hp with a 6 speed automatic transmission. It comes in a 2.5L 4 cycl. hybrid, as well.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rated the 2015 Avalon their top pick for safety award.

US News and World Report rated the Avalon # 3 for affordable large cars.

The Avalon sedan gets anywhere from 21 – 31 mpg and its hybrid version gets an overall 40 mpg. Their hybrid version has one of the best fuel economy averages of any of the large economic cars on the market.

The price point for Avalon starts at about $31,000 and averages between $35 – $37,000, depending on options, of course.

They have beautiful, roomy interiors and user friendly features. They seat 5 people comfortably with standard leather seats and plenty of head and leg room in the front and back seats. The front seats are heated and have power adjusting. The ride is quiet and stable.

The 2015 Avalon comes with a lot of standard features that the tech savvy will love. It has a rear back up camera, smart key access, push button start, dual climate controls, Blue tooth, auxiliary input, USB ports, satellite radio, and an 8 speaker audio system with a touch screen command center! There are many available options such as: blind spot monitoring, cruise control, a bigger audio system or touch screen display, a navigation system, wireless phone charging system and the Entune app suite that gives access to smart phone apps like Pandora. Some trims have sun roofs and motorist seat memory and rear cross traffic alerts; the list is much longer and exhaustive.

The trunk space is one of the only features that some reviewers in the industry complain about. It has 16 cubic feet of trunk space which is smaller than several of the large car competitors, but its trunk is low and wide and easy to get heavy objects into.

If you are looking for a comfortable, affordable large car, Avalon is a stylish way to “Go Places”!
